Tanner O’Dell - Teen Entrepreneur at TannerOdell.com
Dec 22nd, 2010 by pursuitofsuccess
Tanner is no ordinary teenager. At the age of 14, Tanner discovered a newfound hobby -- or better yet, his life's passion. He began experimenting in the kitchen after being inspired by "The Food Network." He continued down the road of experimental cooking and encountered many people, online and in person, who shared his love of food and cooking. It wasn't until his recipe submission was published in a national magazine that he realized the power of what was happening.
At the beginning of his sophomore year in high school, he started attending the Entrepreneurship Focus Program through Lincoln Public Schools. There he learned how to write a business plan for a catering company and won a thousand dollars by "pitching" his idea for a restaurant where customers don't know what they're getting until dinner.
He's gone on to create a local celebrity type of brand and in May 2010 was published in Better Homes and Gardens Magazine. He is currently pursuing the concept of "Be Passionate, Dream, Be Real and Share," where he is finding stories, trending topics, interesting facts, and amazing people to share with the world. His zest for life is contagious and even at a young age, Tanner has the world at his fingertips.
